Joe Brinkmann (M.A. Counseling) holds an advanced certification from the Association of Biblical Counselors.

Joe enjoys reading theology, making music, and learning about what makes people tick. Most of his time is spent being a dad to his five kids and a husband to Stephanie. He has spent a good bit of his adult life in ministry both domestically and internationally including four years as a pastor and now three years (as of 2026) as a full-time biblical counselor.

Joe often works with men who are experiencing the repercussions of shame including pornography, anger, and depression. He is passionate about the work of the Holy Spirit in communicating God’s grace to people in the midst of their own sin and the sin of those around them. Additionally, he has a special concern for individuals, marriages, and families that have been wounded by multiple forms of abuse in the home and in the church.

Joe offers sessions online as well as in-person at his Iowa office. He looks forward to hearing from you and seeing how he can help.
