Meet with a
counselor

Our certified and biblically-trained counselors offer both in-person and virtual appointments.

Ready to connect with one of our counselors?

We know the first appointment can be intimidating. Our compassionate counselors never push you beyond what you’re ready to discuss. This time is set aside for you, and our aim is to help you create healthy goals and then achieve them.

First, register an account with our secure client portal (or log in if you are an existing client). Once you are in the portal, our Director of Counseling will reach out and ask you to complete the required forms if you are a new client. Once the forms are completed, you will move through the next steps of counselor selection and scheduling your first appointment with your new counselor.

Still unsure about Connection Point or biblical counseling?

We want you to feel good about starting your journey with our counselors. Here are answers to some frequently-asked questions that may help you feel more confident in moving forward.

  • Biblical counselors believe that true wisdom and healing can only come from the unchanging, unfailing Word of God. Our counselors seek to help their clients relate to Scripture and apply God’s truth to the problems they’re struggling with.

  • We believe that God’s Word is fully sufficient to help with all of life’s problems. However, it’s not as simple as looking in your Bible’s concordance to find those answers! To truly help people, we must understand two things:

    • What God says about the human experience through the lens of Scripture.

    • The heart of the individual in the room.

Before we offer advice, we spend time getting to know you. We are committed to active, empathetic listening with no trite answers to complex problems.

  • You may choose between a 55 minute or 85 minute session. Our extended sessions are ideal for those who travel to see us or for those who appreciate a little extra time.

  • As much as we would love to answer this question, the duration of counseling depends on your goals and the complexity of the issue. We will work together early in the counseling process to set goals and a timeline that works for you. Some people only come in occasionally for guidance and others come weekly for several months.

  • We want to help you find the best counselor for you. If you don’t feel that your counselor is the right fit, we encourage you to request a different counselor in our group by sending an email to our Director of Counseling. We are not offended by this in the least!

  • One hour sessions are $120 and extended sessions (90 minutes) are $180. However, we want everyone to have access to the support they need. If these rates are not affordable for you, we encourage you to apply for a discounted rate, since we operate on a sliding scale based on income. If your combined annual household income is $55,000 or less, you qualify for a discount. Additionally, we offer a 20% discount to our church partner members.

We do not accept insurance. If you would like more information on why, please reach out.

  • Please feel free to request a specific counselor. We will accommodate requests if possible.

You are not alone.
We are here for you.

We are passionate about knowing and loving people well, using the story of Scripture in personal and meaningful ways. We want to know you well before we offer any help. We want to understand your suffering and show compassion. We want to show genuine love for you in your circumstances. In our counseling, we use the bible. We depend on the Holy Spirit and prayer. We aim for the heart. Our passion is to help connect to God and each other.

Lay Counselors

Connection Point is happy to partner with churches to offer counseling from lay counselors who have been trained in biblical counseling. These counselors have significant life experience and/or formal training, but are new to formal counseling. We are excited to welcome them to our team! Our lay counselors are closely supervised, so their clients get the added benefit of extra attention from their supervisor. During their training, their rate is reduced to $60 per 55-minute session. (No additional discounts apply.) We hope you will meet them soon.
